As and additional security measure during the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne, the public is hereby informed that the whole of Brunei Muara District's airspace is declared as a restricted air space as of the 5th until the 7th of October 2017.
This was underscored by the Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Acting Director of the Department of Civil Aviation at the media conference on the declaration of restricted Air Space during the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne, yesterday afternoon.
Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri said that with the declaration, only authorized aircrafts including drones or unmanned aircrafts are allowed to be operated in the air space. Failure to comply with this is in contravention to the laws and regulations of Brunei Darussalam under Section 51 of the Civil Aviation Order 2006.
