The significance of the declaration of Brunei Darussalam's independence, the practice of 'Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan and the National Anthem were among matters highlighted in the Special Malay Islamic Monarchy, MIB Forum that was extended to the Temburong District today. The forum is one of the programmes in the Golden Jubilee celebration of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to The Throne. The special MIB Forum is organised by the MIB Dissemination Working Committee under the Media, Publicity and Publication Sectoral Committee in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee. It acts as a platform for enhancing the people's knowledge and awareness towards the country's Malay Islamic Monarchy concept.
In attendance was Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The forum was chaired by Awang Muhammad Al-Qusyairi bin Haji Abdul Kahar, from Universiti Teknologi Brunei. There were 3 panellists and Doctor Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism spoke on the government's efforts to diversify opportunities towards improving the life of the people and the benefits of good international relations. Doctor Malai Yunos bin Malai Yusuf, M-I-B and Trade Lecturer at the UTB touched on expanding public and private education opportunities to enhance the prosperity of the people and country. Meanwhile, Doctor Lilly Suzana binti Haji Shamsu, the Assistant Professor of the UNISSA Usuluddin Faculty outlined the practice of 'doa and its effects on the harmony of religion, community and country.
Also present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, Member of the Legislative Council, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs as the Chairman of MIB Dissemination Working Committee in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty's Accession to The Throne. Also in attendance were Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Dr. Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, the Acting Rector of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College.
