Knowledge and awareness on the Islamic Malay Monarchy or MIB concept as well as the security and prosperity of the country were among matters highlighted during the Special MIB Forum held in the Belait District. The forum which took place at Pusat Insani in Seria was organised by the MIB Dissemination Working Committee under the Media, Publicity and Printing Sectoral Committee in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne.
Present was (retired) First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd. Tamit, the Deputy Minister of Defence. The Forum involved three panellists. Dato Paduka Haji Hamzah Bin Haji Sulaiman, the Permanent Secretary (Economy and Finance) at the Prime Minister's Office among other matters, highlighted the government's efforts to maintain living standards in various aspects.
Dr Haji Hambali Bin Haji Jaili, the Director of the Language Centre, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College spoke about practising the 'doa based on the correct aqidah or belief and its influence on religious, community and national harmony.
Meanwhile, Pengiran Dr. Hidup Bin Pengiran Haji Samsuddin, the former Assistant Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara then explained efforts to preserve and protect Brunei Darussalam's Adat Istiadat Diraja or Royal Customs as well as the country's culture in relation to reforms in the international world.
The forum was also attended by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid bin Haji Mumin and Yang Berhormat Awang Hanapi bin Mohd Siput, Members of the Legislative Council, (Retired) Captain Haji Mohammad Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology and Development) at the Ministry of Defence, Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
